Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dispatch (“Dispatch,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our writing application and website. Dispatch is operated by Soren Nelson. If you have questions, contact us at hello@dispatchwriting.com.

Information we collect

We collect the following:

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from your Google account.
  • Waitlist information. If you join our waitlist, we collect the email address you submit.
  • Content you create. The documents, notes, versions, leads, and other content you write or save in Dispatch.
  • Technical information. Basic log and device data (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) collected automatically when you use the service, and essential cookies used to keep you signed in.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your personal information.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain Dispatch and its features;
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • Generate the AI notes, reviews, suggestions, and other features that make up the service;
  • Communicate with you about your account, invitations, and important changes; and
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security issues.

AI processing of your content

Dispatch’s core features rely on AI. To produce in-editor notes, reviews, suggestions, research, and chat, the content you write and related document context are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, for processing.

Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, your content is not used to train Anthropic’s models. Anthropic generally deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days, except where a feature requires longer retention, where retention is required by law, or where Anthropic needs to retain data to enforce its usage policies. We do not use your content to train any models, and we do not sell it.

If you connect Dispatch to third-party tools or clients, including through MCP or similar integrations, information may be shared with those tools according to the permissions you grant and the policies of those third parties.

Service providers

We share information with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf, solely to operate Dispatch:

  • Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage (stores your account data and content).
  • Google: sign-in (we receive your email, name, and profile picture).
  • Anthropic: AI processing, as described above.
  • Vercel: application hosting and content delivery (processes technical and log data).

We may add or change providers as the product develops and will update this policy when we do.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep your session active. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so no non-essential cookie banner is shown in Dispatch.

Sharing and publishing

If you choose to publish, share, or export content from Dispatch, that content may become available to the people or services you share it with. You control whether to use those sharing and export features.

Data retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your content and personal information from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it to comply with a legal obligation. Residual copies may persist in backups for a limited time. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and debugging.

Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information. Dispatch does not yet offer self-service account deletion, so to make a request email hello@dispatchwriting.com and we will handle it. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to certain processing or lodging a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Data security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, row-level security in our database (so you can only access your own documents and notes), and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

Dispatch is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you use Dispatch from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed there.

Children

Dispatch is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
